01Who this policy covers
This policy explains how we handle personal data in two situations. First, data about retailers and their staff who use the point-of-sale service ("you"). Second, data about the shoppers of those retailers that is recorded at checkout ("end customers").
For end-customer data, the retailer decides what is recorded and why, and we process it on the retailer's behalf. For account, billing and website data, we decide how it is used and are responsible for it.
02Data we collect
Account and store data
- Name, work email, store name, city, number of stores and registers given at sign-up or in a demo request.
- Staff names, roles and login activity for the accounts you create.
- Products, prices, cost prices, suppliers and stock movements you enter or import.
Transaction data
- Bills, line items, discounts, taxes, payment method and amount, returns and voids.
- We do not store full card numbers. Card payments are handled by the payment terminal or provider you use.
End-customer data
- Name and contact details added to a bill with the end customer's consent.
- Purchase history, visit dates and preferences derived from purchases, such as usual sizes.
Website data
- Information you submit through our forms, and basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited.
- A session cookie used only to run the security check on our forms.
03How we use data
- To provide checkout, inventory sync, reorder suggestions, customer recognition and reports.
- To create your account, send login credentials and support you during setup.
- To calculate demand forecasts and suggestions for your store from your own sales.
- To secure the service, prevent misuse and keep audit logs of sensitive actions.
- To reply to demo and support requests and send service notices about your account.
End-customer data is used only to serve the retailer that recorded it. It is never sold to third parties, never pooled across retailers and never used to advertise to end customers on behalf of anyone else.
05Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access inside a store account is controlled by staff roles, and sensitive actions such as voids, discounts, returns and stock adjustments are logged. Access by our own team is limited to people who need it to provide support or keep the service running.
06Retention and deletion
We keep store data for as long as your account is active. You can export products, sales and customer lists at any time. When an account is closed, store data is deleted after a short period that allows you to export it, except where we must keep records such as invoices for legal or tax reasons.
Retailers can delete an individual end-customer profile from the back office at the customer's request.
07Your choices and rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your account data, and withdraw consent to optional communications. End customers who want to access or remove their data should contact the store they shopped with, and we will help that store respond.
To make a request, use the contact page.
08Changes to this policy
If we change how personal data is handled in a meaningful way, we will notify account owners by email before the change applies.
