Data & Security
A POS sees every sale and every regular. That deserves a clear explanation of what is kept, why, who can see it and how you take it with you. Here it is, without the fine print.
Yours
Your sales and customer data belong to your business.
Exportable
Download products, sales and customers as CSV at any time.
Never sold
Customer recognition is used for service and offers, never sold to third parties.

How it's protected
Good security in a store is mostly about the right people seeing the right things, and nothing being lost. These are the controls in place.
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS between tills, back office and our servers, and encrypted at rest in storage.
Each staff member has their own login and role. Cashiers bill, managers adjust, owners see everything. Sensitive actions are logged.
Voids, discounts, returns, price changes and stock adjustments record who did them and when.
Store data is backed up regularly so a lost or broken counter device never means lost sales history.
Your sales and customer data stay yours. Products, stock, sales history and customer lists export as CSV from the back office at any time, on any plan, including after you decide to leave.
Individual customer profiles can be deleted from the back office when a customer asks. When an account closes, store data is deleted after a short window that gives you time to export it.
Explicit commitment
Customer recognition is used to serve customers in your store and to suggest offers at your checkout. It is never sold to third parties, never pooled across retailers and never used to advertise to your customers on anyone else's behalf.
