Accurate stock, always.
A count that is right on Monday and wrong by Friday is worse than no count at all, because people trust it. Every feature we build has to leave the stock number more accurate, never less.
About Gudport
Why we started
Walk into most stores and ask how many of an item are left. The answer is usually a guess, a trip to the back room or a number from a register that stopped being right weeks ago. Ask who the regulars are and it depends on who is working that day.
That is not a people problem. Store teams are busy serving customers, and the systems they are given record the money but leave the stock book and the customer memory to them. Every sale that is not counted is a small error. Every regular who is not recognized is a small loss. Over a season, both add up to empty shelves, overstocked back rooms and customers who drift to the store down the road.
Gudport is a point-of-sale built so that one scan does all of it at once: the bill, the stock count, the reorder signal and the customer record. Nothing extra for staff to do, and nothing left to memory.
Principles
A count that is right on Monday and wrong by Friday is worse than no count at all, because people trust it. Every feature we build has to leave the stock number more accurate, never less.
Retail runs on regulars. A till that forgets everyone the moment the bill prints throws away the most valuable thing a store has. We treat customer memory as part of checkout, not an add-on.
The counter screen shows only what a cashier needs to bill quickly. Everything else, from forecasts to margins, lives in the back office, laid out so an owner can read it in a minute.
What we build
A point-of-sale for retail, with live inventory, reorder alerts, customer recognition, multi-store control and margin reporting.
Who it is for
Independent stores and retail chains selling physical products across apparel, footwear, accessories, home, gifting and general retail.
How we work
We set up each store with its owner, import their data with them, and stay reachable after go-live.
Your turn at the counter
Tap items to scan them. Stock drops with every unit, and anything that crosses its reorder point is flagged the moment it happens. Push the Cotton Shirt past 4 units to see it.
